Paora, also written in some materials as Paola, is a young ocelot-tiger cub in the Jungle Emperor Leo anime series. She has ocelot-like spots on her body and distinctive lines over her eyes. Her story begins when she falls from a jeep and wanders into the jungle, arriving alone and unfamiliar with the animal community. Her main motivation is the search for a friend: she approaches every animal she meets by leaping at it, hoping to form a bond. However, her rough and impulsive manner runs against the customs of the jungle residents, who regard her behavior as uncivilized, and her energetic advances create an uproar across the jungle. In the story she enters as an intruder and outsider whose presence troubles the established order of the animal community. Leo, the white lion who rules the jungle, notices the newcomer and observes her, which draws her into the world of the main characters. Her key relationship is therefore with Leo, whose attention marks the beginning of her place among the jungle animals. She is not depicted with special powers; her importance comes from her background as a displaced cub and her determined, if clumsy, pursuit of friendship.
