TV-Series
Description
Neoburi is a young animal who appears in the Bonobono series as a friend of the main character. He is characterized by an extremely friendly and affectionate nature, often clinging to family members such as Porori's maternal uncle. Because he is younger than Bonobono and Porori, his level of understanding is relatively poor, and Bonobono sometimes takes on a protective role toward him. In one instance, this protection gave Porori a rare reason to get into a fight.

In many ways Neoburi is very similar to Bonobono in personality and thought, and the two became close friends after an initial meeting where they were surprised by how alike they were. However, Neoburi's facial expressions are more varied and expressive than Bonobono's, and he is not afraid to angrily criticize others when he feels they are treating friends too carelessly.

Neoburi shows a strong attachment to being acknowledged. In the anime, Bonobono heard Neoburi's name only twice and memorized it, which moved Neoburi to tears, as he remarked that no one had ever remembered his name and called him by it before. This highlights his desire for recognition and meaningful connection.

There was a notable incident where Neoburi's personality underwent a dramatic change after he boasted about bungee jumping but forgot to attach the rope and hit his head on the river bottom. This temporary shift mirrors a similar transformation that Bonobono experienced after eating strange mushrooms.

Neoburi's relationship with his father is strained; he is unable to stand up to him and simply endures his treatment, much like another character named Tungtungi behaves in front of his own mother. Despite this, Neoburi is regarded as a true friend to Bonobono, consistently loyal and emotionally invested in their friendship.
