Within the story, Emperor Darius holds the supreme command over the Dark Horror Army. He rarely intervenes directly in military operations, preferring to issue orders or mediate disputes between his four direct subordinates, the Four Generals: Desmon, Dankell, Asmoff, and Killer. These generals command the army's forces from their Grotestar Vessels and typically carry out his will without question. Darius shares a strictly hierarchical relationship with them, treating them as tools to achieve his goals. His role as the final boss is solidified when, after all his plans have failed and his generals are defeated, he confronts the heroes personally in the final battle.
