Description
Aria Futaba is a character introduced in the second season of the anime Aikatsu Stars! and later appears in the anniversary film Aikatsu Stars! Hoshiboshi no Progress. She is a student of Neo Venus Ark, which was formerly known simply as Venus Ark. Aria is categorized as a cute-type idol, and her preferred fashion brand is My Little Heart.

Born into a large family and raised in the natural landscapes of Finland, Aria possesses a pure-hearted and fairy-like demeanor. Her performances are often compared to seeing an aurora, and she is described as an overwhelmingly fairy-like idol. This ethereal quality, combined with her natural talent, makes her a prodigy in the idol world. She gained significant attention overseas, which led to her being invited to Japan by Hime Shiratori to pursue her career as an idol.

Aria's motivations are rooted in her sincerity and desire to express herself through her idol activities. Early in her journey, she encounters challenges such as failing a waterfall training exercise, which initially frustrates her. However, she receives guidance from Mahiru, who tells her that her aria is proof of her sincerity. Through mutual encouragement and acknowledgment of effort, Aria comes to understand that being an idol is about more than just having fun, and she matures into a more resilient and purposeful performer.

In the story, Aria is a member of Venus Ark, a rival school to the main characters' Four Star Academy. She later becomes part of Neo Venus Ark after the school's transformation. Her key relationships include Hime Shiratori, who scouted her, and Mahiru, who helps her grow. During her time at Venus Ark, she interacts with other Venus Ark students and the main cast of the original series.

Notable abilities include her captivating stage presence that evokes the imagery of the northern lights, and her mastery of the My Little Heart brand style, which emphasizes cuteness and grace. Her development highlights a shift from a purely innocent talent to a more dedicated idol who values the meaning behind her performances. In the film Aikatsu Stars! Hoshiboshi no Progress, she appears as a supporting character, continuing her role within the expanded universe of the series.
