Leo Saionji is a prism star and a student at the Kakyoin Academy of Edel Rose. He has a small build, short neck-length pink hair, and fuchsia eyes, and his naturally feminine appearance and voice often cause him to be mistaken for a girl. He is shy, slightly clumsy, and has a heart that cherishes cute things. Before entering Edel Rose, Leo was bullied for being too feminine and stopped attending school. His older sisters, concerned for him, encouraged him to try his hand at prism shows and supported his decision to move to Tokyo. He enrolled in Edel Rose Middle School with the hope of one day becoming more manly. Upon arriving, he immediately looked up to Yukinojo as a mentor and big brother figure, because Yukinojo, as a professional kabuki actor, possesses deep insight into both femininity and masculinity. Throughout the King of Prism series, Leo trains as a prism star, participating in prism shows and developing his skills as a performer. His journey involves overcoming his past insecurities and growing in confidence through his experiences at Edel Rose and his bonds with his fellow students.
