TV-Series
Description
Urara Haneyama is a first-year middle school student affiliated with both Team Blackout and Team Tirnanog Youth. She joins Team Blackout after its formation, becoming a member during the series' events. Team Blackout is a large, pre-existing group of cardfighters operating from an abandoned amusement park. They function as a found family united by their love of Vanguard and mutual protection, adopting a strategy of safeguarding other teams from threats like Team Daybreak by securing their banners and forming alliances to combat external pressures.
Typically shy, Urara ignites with intense focus and displays remarkable pressure and talent when engaged in activities she loves, a duality defining her interactions and cardfighting approach. Within Team Blackout, she serves as an audience surrogate, particularly in uncovering the team's history. She participates in revelations clarifying that Danji Momoyama was not the original founder; instead, Ruka Miyako established the team, with only early members like Tomari Seto, Danji, and Takami (Megumi’s brother) aware of this retconned origin. Her role positions her as a conduit for this exposition to newer members and viewers.
In cardfighting, she utilizes a trial deck designed for accessibility, featuring simplified rules explanations and tutorial cards to ease new players into the game. Her in-game representation includes a trigger unit card recognized as having dual identities, functionally acknowledged as both "Urara Haneyama" and "Aspiring Maiden, Alana." This card possesses a critical trigger effect and an ability that, when boosting, can move into the soul to grant another unit a power increase. Her narrative involvement includes appearances alongside other characters introduced in "will+Dress," such as Raika Koshiba and Michiru Hazama.
