Description
Shingetsu Ernesta Fukami descends from a powerful lineage of Eastern European mages. Adopted into the Fugo family, she forged a close friendship with Anna Fugo that later fractured under Anna's intense jealousy of Shingetsu's overwhelming natural magical talent. This estrangement ignited Shingetsu's profound resentment toward magic, which she perceives as a corrupting force enabling the unnatural. Eradicating all magic became her driving purpose.

Personality-wise, Shingetsu maintains a reserved and stoic demeanor, often concealing her emotions behind a cool facade. Despite this outward composure, she experiences significant social anxiety and embarrassment, particularly when navigating unfamiliar cultural contexts like her return to Japan from Germany. She possesses a capacity for deep care and loyalty, demonstrated by her eventual close bond with Mangetsu Kohinata. Initially opposing Mangetsu's involvement in the Granbelm tournament, Shingetsu later mentors her in combat techniques and confides in her emotionally. Her time with the Fugos also revealed her kindness, shown when she secretly supported Anna's magical efforts and crafted a personalized doll as a memento for her.

Magically, Shingetsu wields exceptional innate abilities, described as overwhelmingly powerful due to being born under a star that blessed her as a mage. She exerts meticulous command over spells both within and outside Granbelm battles, performing feats like accelerating plant growth and influencing emotional states. Her tactical proficiency extends to commanding her versatile black mecha Armanox, Viola Katze, capable of melee and ranged combat. Her signature tactical asset is the spirit Gnome (also called Growth), manifesting as a giant golem.

Her participation in Granbelm centered on achieving victory to erase all magic. The tournament's governing entity, the Magiaconatus, ultimately revealed it had preordained her as the Princeps Mage victor, making the competition a test of her worthiness. Upon winning and fulfilling her wish to eliminate magic, a profound consequence unfolded: Shingetsu became an immortal being erased from collective human memory, destined to exist unseen and forgotten by the world. Contrary to predictions that she would lose all memories related to magic and Granbelm, she retained her recollections of Mangetsu, Suisyou, and the Magiaconatus.

Her name, meaning "new moon," deliberately echoes Mangetsu's name, which translates to "full moon," symbolizing their intertwined fates.
