Description
Nene Rin, a Hong Kong mage from a minor magical lineage, entered the Granbelm tournament seeking to reunite with her younger sisters Nana and Mimi after their mother Lin Fen Fen abandoned the family. Her sisters remained in Hong Kong, providing remote support during her battles. Despite adulthood, Nene's childlike appearance led to her enrollment in middle school, where she befriended Kibō Kohinata.

Initially stubborn and emotionally distant due to her familial trauma, Nene resisted connections, especially with Kibō. She despised deception and insisted on fair combat, a principle contributing to her defeat. Her magic specialized in creating talismans for tracking targets or masking magical signatures, combined with keen sensory perception for long-range engagements and skilled data analysis. This analytical ability later revealed the truth of Magiaconatus and Mangetsu Kohinata's artificial nature.

Her Armanox, Ji Guang Long, operated primarily as a stealth-oriented spaceship favoring evasion and long-range attacks. Fully deployed, it transformed into a significantly larger mecha designed for close-quarters combat, leveraging size and extended reach. A noted limitation was its inability to fly, which Mangetsu speculated might relate to Nene's fear of heights.

Nene became the tournament's second eliminated participant after her decisive battle against Mangetsu. Post-defeat, she shifted roles from combatant to investigator, examining the phenomenon where defeated mages like Anna Fugo were erased from memory. This investigation uncovered Mangetsu's origin as an artificial construct created by Magiaconatus to support Shingetsu Ernesta Fukami.

Following elimination, Nene experienced significant personal growth. She shed her aloofness, openly supported Mangetsu and Shingetsu in the ongoing tournament, and formally acknowledged Kibō as her closest friend, reflecting her resolution of internal conflicts and acceptance of emotional bonds.
