Description
Kuon Tsuchimikado, youngest scion of the Tsuchimikado sorcerer lineage—guardians of arcane traditions—is propelled by her sister Shisui’s magically induced coma, driving her to enter the lethal Granbelm tournament in pursuit of a cure. Her unwavering devotion to Shisui defines her every choice, intertwining her fate with the contest’s deadly stakes.

Though initially presenting a composed and analytical exterior, Kuon’s demeanor fractures into relentless pursuit when confronting Suishō Hakamada, whom she accuses of harming Shisui. This single-minded hunt drives her to forge strategic alliances with Mangetsu Kohinata and Shingetsu Ernesta Fukami, navigating the tournament’s treacherous battles.

Her acute magical perception allows detection of residual spells and evasion of unseen threats, while her expertise in tracing ethereal signatures leads her to targets like Mangetsu through magic’s resonant “sound.” A skilled blade-wielder, Kuon clashes fiercely with Suishō in direct combat. As a pilot, she commands her Armanox, Setsgetsu Baika, a mechanized combat unit wielding environmental manipulation and weapons forged from crystallized light.

A critical discovery reveals Suishō harbors a fragment of Shisui’s soul—a truth weaponized to undermine Kuon’s resolve. Yet Kuon learns Shisui willingly surrendered this shard to empower her sister’s survival. Renewed determination falters when Suishō overpowers her, culminating in Kuon’s demise. Posthumously, the Magiaconatus reshapes reality, erasing her from collective memory save for fellow competitors, echoing the fate of erased participant Anna Fugo.

Beyond her quest, Kuon becomes a silent witness to history as one of the few retaining knowledge of Anna’s existence. Her alliances and rivalries illuminate themes of familial bonds, sacrificial love, and the perilous costs of magical warfare, cementing her role as both warrior and martyr within the Granbelm’s cyclical conflict.
