Description
Marco Chezanello emerges as a wealthy neighborhood bully who seizes control of a local park, proclaiming it his personal kingdom after defeating the Rowdy Reds alongside his Bakugan partner, Cyndeous. He wields threats and intimidation, exploiting Cyndeous's power to coerce obedience from others, including attempts to forcibly recruit Max from the Rowdy Reds. Confronting the Awesome Ones and remaining Rowdy Reds, Marco consistently relies on underhanded tactics like attacking unprepared opponents or setting environmental traps to secure an advantage.
Cyndeous repeatedly voices reluctance and moral objections to Marco's aggressive demands, especially orders to attack humans or engage in unfair battles. Despite Cyndeous's protests, Marco demands absolute obedience, citing their partnership. This tension escalates during a clash with the Awesome Ones; Marco shouts repeated commands for attacks like "Sword Barrage," ignoring Cyndeous's visible struggle. Marco's self-centered nature is further exposed by his refusal to acknowledge Drago saving him. Ultimately, Cyndeous rebels, refusing to fight due to the unethical tactics. Enraged by this defiance, Marco severs their partnership and abandons Cyndeous, who later partners with Dan Kouzo.
Following the loss of Cyndeous, Marco partners with the less powerful Bakugan, Grizzly. His battle effectiveness sharply diminishes, leaving him unable to achieve decisive victories. In later seasons, specifically *Armored Alliance*, Marco shows signs of personal growth. While retaining a pushy demeanor and large ego, he demonstrates increased humility and occasional friendliness towards those he previously bullied, signaling a shift from his earlier antagonism. His overall role and screen presence become substantially reduced.
