Description
Nozomi Takahashi, known as "Takahashi-san," is the sole missing classmate mentioned during the Akatsuka High reunion in "Osomatsu-san: The Movie." Her importance surfaces when the Matsuno sextuplets become trapped in a "world of memories" rooted in high school, revealing her pivotal, unnoticed role in their past.

In high school, Nozomi was a shy, introverted student with long black hair in low pigtails, large glasses, uneven teeth, and ahoge. She wore a modified Akatsuka High girls' uniform featuring a longer skirt. Academically, she shared a second-year class with Choromatsu, Jyushimatsu, and Todomatsu, and third-year classes with Osomatsu and Ichimatsu. Despite being classmates, she remained distant and observant, never directly interacting with the brothers. An only child, she deeply admired the sextuplets' bond and identical looks, becoming distressed when they diverged into distinct personalities to fit in, straining their relationships.

Facing an imminent move away from Akatsuka Ward the day before graduation, Nozomi wrote a letter addressed to "Matsuno-kun" expressing admiration and hopes for their unity. She slipped it into the Matsuno household's door. Karamatsu found it but lost it during a violent rooftop fight among the brothers that erupted when he tried to discuss it. The letter's contents stayed unknown, creating lingering regret that later trapped the adult sextuplets.

Presently, Nozomi is bedridden in a white hospital room near a beach, suffering from an unspecified terminal illness. A black cat observed her before appearing at the sextuplets' home. This cat, revealed as a manifestation of Nozomi, guided the brothers through the memory world, reacting to their actions with approval or disapproval, bridging her reality and their past.

Within the memory world, Nozomi’s apparition finally met the 18-year-old sextuplets when they visited her home. She downplayed the letter's importance but requested a group photo, fulfilling her unspoken wish for connection. After the photo, her cat manifestation appeared content. The adult sextuplets awoke with no memory, though Karamatsu vaguely recalled her name. The memory world’s resolution coincided with Nozomi’s implied passing, symbolized by an apparition exploring a changed Akatsuka Ward. A final fantasy sequence showed the adult sextuplets thanking her in her mind, with the group photo confirming the memory world's impact transcended a dream.

Her character design evolved in the film's ending credits, depicting her with loosely worn hair, side-swept bangs, straightened teeth, and a shorter uniform skirt, reflecting a more idealized self-image. Her name, translating to "Hope," aligns with her role in providing the sextuplets emotional closure.
