Description
Takumi Nishimura carries his family's baseball legacy as Seinan Academy’s pitcher through junior high and high school, wielding a formidable curveball honed under his father’s influence. His prideful confidence mirrors that of Isami Nishimura, a former standout pitcher turned high school coach, who recognizes his own past arrogance in his son’s brash demeanor.

Driven by relentless ambition, Takumi channels intensity into both sport and romance. He fixates on Otomi Tachibana, blending bold declarations with clandestine efforts—publicly asking her out, privately amassing photos for shrine-like posters—echoing Isami’s history of unreciprocated pursuits. Yet unlike his father, Takumi’s resolve remains unshaken by Otomi’s indifference.

On the field, rivalry fuels him: first against peer Akio Nitta, later expanding to larger competitions. Though skill earns acclaim, his hubris sometimes blinds him to opponents’ strategies, inviting unexpected setbacks. The strained bond with Isami intertwines pride in their shared athleticism with clashing wills, as father and son navigate mirrored stubbornness across generations.
