TV-Series
Description
Suzu Kurokawa is a human female, initially a 12-year-old first-year student at Kirarigaoka Middle School, aging to 13 in the second season and 14 in the third. She has golden eyes and dark grey, sometimes black, shoulder-length hair featuring multiple stray strands and a distinctive long, skinny curled cowlick; her bangs and forelocks are messy and uneven in thickness.

Boyish, quiet, and intensely passionate about dance, Suzu possesses a strong work ethic and competitive nature. Initially distant and reserved, she gradually becomes more open with her emotions and develops a friendlier attitude through her experiences. Her deep admiration for her eldest brother, Michael Kurokawa, inspired her love for dance. She once aspired to form an idol team with both Michael and her older brother, Yusuke Kurokawa, but abandoned the plan due to growing rifts between the siblings. While Suzu regarded Yusuke as cool alongside Michael, she lost some admiration after he quit dancing. She later understood Yusuke chose cooking as his true passion, a realization she indirectly contributed to without awareness. Yusuke married Ana Conda, becoming Suzu's sister-in-law.

Professionally, Suzu is a cool-type idol affiliated with the brands DANCE & STREET and later Dear Crown. She forms the idol unit Ring Marry with Maria Kanamori. Their partnership starts conflictually due to contrasting personalities—Suzu prioritizes coolness while Maria focuses on cuteness. During an early joint video project, Suzu created obstacles hoping Maria would quit, but Maria's determination changed Suzu's opinion. This evolving dynamic solidified their teamwork, demonstrated when they jointly adopted the mascot Rabbily after encountering her following their return from Broadway and unsuccessfully helping her search for her master. Suzu expresses astonishment and slight envy toward Mel Shido's quick learning abilities, though they reach a mutual understanding. She maintains a competitive relationship with Sara Midorikawa, internally acknowledging Sara as the "coolest idol" during the Daia Festival. Naru Shiawase acts as a mentor figure to Suzu and Maria.

Her development includes participating in the second season's Jewel Auditions, debuting her Pure Black Jewel Coord and Dance Panther Coord. By the third season, she competes in the Princess Cup at Pri☆Chan Land, aiming to become the Illuminage Queen, and debuts the Ocean Mermaid Illuminage Suzu Coord. Her return to Japan initially for Yusuke's wedding transitioned into a decision to remain and participate in the Princess Cup alongside Maria.

Her birthday is December 6 (Dance Day in Japan), her blood type is B, her favorite food is monaka, her favorite songs are "Cutie・Breakin'" and "Individual・Jewel", and her special skill is dancing. Her surname "Kurokawa" (黒川) means "black river", referencing her hair color, while "Suzu" (すず), written in hiragana, can imply "small bell" (鈴) or "nice and cool/refreshing" (涼). She shares her surname with characters Rei Kurokawa, Ellen Kurokawa, and Chiaki Kurokawa. Her speaking voice deepens slightly compared to her initial debut.
