Description
Himari Arisugawa, a shy second-year middle school student plagued by social anxiety, hides an encyclopedic knowledge of sweets science, earning her the "Sweets Doctor" nickname. Though her passion for confectionery often leads to lengthy explanations, this tendency previously drove peers away, making her hesitant to share her expertise beyond trusted friends. Her life shifts dramatically upon meeting Ichika Usami during a pudding sale. Bonding over recreating a sold-out dessert, Himari's technical advice impresses Ichika. When the antagonist Pulupulu attacks, stealing the positive energy (Kirakiraru) from their creation, Himari's squirrel-shaped pudding transforms into an Animal Sweet and a Sweets Pact. This grants her the power to become Cure Custard, the yellow-themed Pretty Cure of intelligence and courage, embodying pudding and squirrels. Her transformation heralds the catchphrases "Sweets Are Science!" and "Let Me Explain!".
