Haruka Fukuhara is a Japanese actress, voice actress, singer, and model born on August 28, 1998, in Saitama Prefecture. She began her entertainment career as a child actress in the first grade of elementary school, making her debut in 2005 with a role in the television drama Time for Love.

Fukuhara's first major role, and a defining start to her voice acting career, came in 2009 when she was cast as the lead, Main Hiiragi, in the NHK educational children's program Cooking Idol! I! My! Main! This unique hybrid live-action and anime series had her both portraying the character in live-action cooking segments and providing the character's voice for the animated sequences, a role she held until 2012. During this period, she also released several singles related to the show.

A significant milestone in her animation career arrived in 2017 when she was cast as Himari Arisugawa, also known as Cure Custard, in the 2017-2018 television series Kirakira PreCure a la Mode. This role in the long-running and popular Pretty Cure franchise solidified her presence in the anime industry. She would reprise the character of Cure Custard in numerous Pretty Cure theatrical films, including Pretty Cure Dream Stars! (2017), Kirakira PreCure a la Mode: Crisply! The Memory of Mille-feuille! (2017), Pretty Cure Super Stars! (2018), and Pretty Cure Miracle Universe (2019).

In 2018, she voiced the character Yui Nishida in the television anime series After the Rain. The following year, she took on the role of Mirei Kadenokōji in the animated science fiction film Hello World.

Fukuhara's voice acting career continued to gain momentum into the 2020s. She voiced Tsubame Koyasu in the popular romantic comedy series Kaguya-sama: Love Is War, first in its second season (Kaguya-sama: Love Is War Season 2) in 2020 and again in the third season (Kaguya-sama: Love Is War -Ultra Romantic-) in 2022. She also reprised the role for the 2022 anime film Kaguya-sama: Love Is War – The First Kiss That Never Ends. In 2021, she lent her voice to Satomi Amano in the animated film Sing a Bit of Harmony and took on the lead role of Hiwa Natsunagi in the film Hula Fulla Dance. Alongside her acting, Fukuhara has pursued a music career. In 2019, she made her solo singing debut under Sony Music with the single "Mikanseina Hikari-tachi," which was used as an ending theme for the anime Boruto: Naruto Next Generations. Her voice acting and singing careers often intersect; for instance, her 2020 single "Toumei Clear" served as an ending theme for the second season of Kaguya-sama: Love Is War, an anime in which she also voiced a character. She released her debut studio album, Harukakanatae, in 2022.

In 2024, Fukuhara received the Newcomer of the Year award at the 47th Japan Academy Film Prize for her live-action role in the 2023 film Till We Meet Again on the Lily Hill. She has been affiliated with the talent agency Ken-On since 2015.
