Description
Tsuyukusa is a 14-year-old oni girl from Onigashima, dispatched to Tokyo on a mission to improve human perceptions of oni, living alongside companions Tsutsuji and Himawari. She transfers to a junior high school in the city.

Outwardly, she projects stoic coolness and an aloof, largely unperturbed demeanor, creating the impression of a cool beauty. This masks her true, fundamentally lazy and slovenly nature. She actively evades effort, frequently delegating tasks she finds bothersome to Tsutsuji and Himawari. Her personal motto, "if I don't do it today, hopefully I’ll do it tomorrow," reflects this tendency. Despite her laziness, she possesses notable intellect and capability, described as a bit of a genius who can accomplish most things with relative ease when sufficiently motivated.

A defining characteristic is her intense, near-obsessive love for human sweets and food. She expresses dissatisfaction with Onigashima's food and finds human confections irresistibly appealing. This passion manifests in behaviors like ordering and consuming enormous ice cream creations made from multiple cones stacked together. Her craving is so powerful she jokes she'd follow the teachings of Momotaro—the legendary enemy of oni—simply for access to human rations, leading to accusations of betraying her kind. This sweet obsession represents a distinctly childish aspect contrasting with her otherwise mature and emotionally grounded nature compared to her companions.

Physically, she has long blue or cyan hair reaching past her hips, green eyes, and a single horn prominently centered on her forehead. She typically wears her school uniform.

She participates in trio activities using the "onipan" (oni underwear), magical tiger-striped boxer shorts enabling transformation into different costumes. This transformation provides only a change in appearance, granting no actual superpowers, requiring the girls to rely on their own skills. She initially attempted to wear the onipan concealed beneath her dress during transformation, resulting in failure, demonstrating the garment must be worn visibly over clothing to function.

Her relationships include interactions with Momo Momozono, a descendant of Momotaro who displays arrogance towards oni but harbors a hidden desire for harmony, and Noriko Issun, a classmate who makes cryptic, sharp comments. Kuma, a small bear acting as a chaperone, is largely lax and unhelpful in guiding Tsuyukusa and her friends.
