Description
Kokona Nonaka is a Japanese voice actor and idol, born on January 28, 2006, in Nagasaki Prefecture. She is 155 cm tall with blood type A. Nonaka began her entertainment career after passing the Amuse audition in 2017 and subsequently joined the idol group Sakura Gakuin in May 2018 as a first-year middle school student. She remained active with the group until its disbandment in August 2021.
Following Sakura Gakuin, Nonaka transitioned into voice acting. Her debut anime role came in 2022 when she voiced the character Tsuyukusa in the television anime series Onipan!. For this project, she was also a member of the associated idol unit, Onipan's.
In February 2023, Nonaka was announced as a cast member for the Love Live! series, a major franchise in which she voices Sayaka Murano. She is part of the group Hasunosora Girls' High School Idol Club and its sub-unit DOLLCHESTRA, where her assigned member color is icy blue. Her casting made her the youngest cast member in the Love Live! School idol project series at the time. In an interview, she expressed her admiration for the character Umi Sonoda from a previous Love Live! iteration, noting that she applied for the role of Sayaka because she saw similarities between them.
Beyond her voice roles, Nonaka is known for her background in track and field, a sport she participated in during middle school, which she credits for her stamina and sharp dancing. She is the eldest of four siblings and has shared that her personal motto, taught to her by her mother, is Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever. Her hobbies include listening to music, watching music videos, and collecting notebooks filled with favorite quotes.
