Description
Ilia, a legendary grimoire from the *Ilias Fragments* crafted by the Witch of Witches, is also called the Ilias Fragment or Treis. Bound first to Hijiri Kasuga, she later forges a pact with Arata Kasuga, serving as his sentient grimoire with autonomous thought and free will—a rarity among magical artifacts. Her personality merges quiet humility with unexpected boldness, balancing composure against the chaos of her companions. Though reserved, she obeys her masters unflinchingly, even executing harsh commands like imprisoning Arata in a dimensional void or targeting Mira and Sora on Hijiri’s orders.

Linked to Hijiri since birth, their contract amplified Hijiri’s magic. During the Black Sun crisis, Ilia impersonated Hijiri to preserve Arata’s illusion of normalcy after the town’s ruin. When Arata’s awakening drained her energy, she reverted to a dormant book until Hijiri restored her. Later, under Hijiri’s guidance, she ensnared Royal Liber Academy in a dimensional barrier, feigning its destruction to draw Arata. The scheme collapsed when Arata’s Astral Trinity transformation shattered the barrier, prompting Ilia to pledge herself as his grimoire.

In human form, Ilia takes the shape of a young woman with light green hair, pink-purple eyes, and a curvaceous frame, clad in a dark mini-dress, cape collar, thigh socks, and loafers. Her default state is a compact blue book shackled by chains. A polymorph, she mirrors others’ appearances—like Hijiri—by projecting their silhouettes.

As a support-focused grimoire, her strength lies in adaptability. She crafts dimensional shields, conjures illusions, seals foes, replicates spells, and dissects magical signatures. Her tactical mind lets her capitalize on vulnerabilities, such as entrapping Sora post-battle. Yet overwhelming forces like Astral Trinity overwhelm her, fraying her calm. Immortal yet bound to her master’s magical reserves, she persists indefinitely.

Initially viewing herself as a tool, Ilia evolves through her bond with Arata, nurturing loyalty and flickers of jealousy when he engages others. This growth highlights her emotional depth despite her artifice origins. In later narratives like *Heavens Library & Crimson Lord*, she aids Arata against existential threats, her actions always aligning with her core identity.
