Description
Hijiri Kasuga is Arata Kasuga's blood-related cousin, the daughter of his uncle. Following an accident involving Arata's parents, she lived with him under altered memories, believing herself to be his orphaned cousin. Her true mission, assigned by Master Liber of the Liber Royal Academy, was to watch over Arata and prevent his premature awakening as a Demon Lord, eliminating him if necessary.

During the "Breakdown Phenomenon" caused by the Black Sun, Hijiri gave Arata the legendary grimoire "Astil Manuscript" before being consumed by the dimensional collapse and transported to the "Void World." She later reemerged as a powerful mage affiliated with Iscariot, an organization seeking to destroy the endless cycle of Demon Lords destroying and rebuilding worlds. Her actions were motivated not by malice but by a desire to save Arata from this tragic cycle.

As a magus, Hijiri specializes in sacred Chaotic Rune magic, her Archive rooted in Wrath (Ira). Her primary themas are Collapse (Ruina), Creation (Partum), and Disassembly (Analysis), wielded at Trinity-level mastery. She manifests the "Seiten" armor, a Manifest Robe of Wrath, significantly amplifying her combat capabilities to challenge the Trinity Seven. She also utilizes Demon Lord factors for world-altering power and was the original owner of both the "Astil Manuscript" and "Ilias Fragment" grimoires.

Hijiri shares a profound magical connection with Arin Kannazuki as dual reincarnations of the "World Tree Priestess" Celestia. This link ensures one can always serve as the Demon Lord's companion. Her deep affection for Arata is central, marked by recurring themes of her wishing to marry him if not for his Demon Lord destiny. In later arcs, she sacrificed herself using keys and her soul to become the avatar of the "Heavenly Emperor Law: Black Emperor Flame Realm." Defeated by Arata and Lilith's combined "Meteor Dragner" spell, her consciousness merged with Celestia's. She became a silent sword vessel housing her memories and emotions, ultimately returning to Arata.

Hijiri is identified as both a Trinity Seven candidate and the "Final Activation Key" within the series' cosmology, reflecting her pivotal role in the conflict between destruction and rebirth. Her endurance across multiple cycles of history underscores her significance.
