This unit consistently failed training exercises, earning its derogatory name through repeated operational shortcomings and a casual disregard for military protocols.

When the Bugs unexpectedly invade Mars, Camacho's behavior shifts markedly. She demonstrates fierce loyalty to Rico, notably attempting to secure his evacuation aboard a patrol craft during the attack's initial stages. Her actions reveal a growing sense of responsibility as the threat escalates. After a crash landing on Mars results in heavy squad losses, Camacho survives alongside Rico and core members Toshi Baba, Geo Malik, and One-Oh-One.

Her development culminates during the critical mission to disarm the Q-Bomb at the weather control tower. In the final confrontation, she displays decisive courage by leaping from Carmen Ibanez's dropship mid-flight. Utilizing her jump jets, she maneuvers through intense fire to retrieve both Rico and the injured Baba, ensuring their safe return to the evacuation craft.
