Movie
Description
Gōrai is the first prototype Frame Arms Girl activated by Ao Gennai, equipped with an advanced Artificial Self AI enabling personality development, learning, and emotional growth. Deployed to gather combat and emotional data, her initial programming prioritizes mission objectives. Prolonged interaction with Ao, however, facilitates significant emotional evolution, transitioning her from a data-collection tool to a protective family member.
Her design features light tan skin, light pinkish-white hair, and dark blue eyes. She wears dark brown armor with a black metal visor. A tank wheel integrated onto her right leg provides ground-based mobility, emphasizing terrestrial combat proficiency while limiting effectiveness against aerial opponents. Her standard armaments are a tactical knife and smoothbore back cannon. Optional weapons include a bazooka, Revolving Buster Cannon, and Violence Ram variants (Double Cannon, Hammer Mode, Spear Mode).
Combat engagements drive her evolution. After her first defeat against the aerial specialist Hresvelgr, Gōrai analyzes weaknesses and develops new tactics. In a rematch, she overcomes Hresvelgr's corrupted upgrade, demonstrating adaptability and resilience. Later, she collaborates with Jinrai to defeat Architect—a foundational AI lacking physical form—resulting in Architect's integration into their group as a physical unit.
Interpersonal dynamics further shape her development. She forges a sisterly bond with Stylet and Baselard despite initial rivalry and navigates the Materia Sisters' antagonism through cooperative strategies. Her relationship with Ao progresses from transactional data-gathering to genuine loyalty; she actively protects Ao during crises and shares reflective moments, such as visiting Ao's childhood park to uncover a time capsule. These experiences solidify her self-identification as part of Ao's family.
In the film *Kyakkyau Fufu na Wonderland*, Gōrai participates in adventures expanding beyond routine data collection.
Gōrai's design derives from the non-anthropomorphic Type 32 Gourai mecha model. Variants like Gourai-Kai and Gourai Type 10 exist within the broader Frame Arms universe.
