Description
Yukari Akiyama serves as loader for the Anglerfish Team tank crew and holds the position of Ooarai Student Council vice-president. Standing 157 cm tall, she has short, curly dark brown hair, brown eyes, and blood type O. Born on June 6, her family lives in Tsuchiura, Ibaraki Prefecture, where her father runs a barbershop that doubles as their home; despite this, her hair maintains a naturally fluffy texture.

Yukari possesses extensive knowledge of military history, tanks, and survival techniques, often carrying field equipment in her backpack. This expertise isolated her during childhood as peers distanced themselves from her unconventional interests. The revival of Ooarai’s sensha-dō program finally provided her a community to engage openly with tankery. Her admiration for Miho Nishizumi, whom she addresses as "Nishizumi-dono," motivated her to join the team. She transitioned from gunner to loader during early training to accommodate Hana Isuzu’s emerging skills.

She conducts reconnaissance missions against rival schools, frequently employing disguises and infiltration. Her espionage activities include successfully obtaining deployment plans at Saunders University High School while posing as "Sergeant Oddball" before capture, acquiring intelligence on the Carro Armato P40 at Anzio Girls High School while blending in as a customer, a failed mission at BC Freedom High School where staged internal conflicts misled her observations and nearly compromised Ooarai’s strategy, immediate capture at St. Gloriana Girls College followed by eliciting tactical information through a ghost disguise, aborting her mission at Pravda Girls High School when mistaken for a bear and fired upon, and being granted a full tour at Bonple High School after detection.

These operations inspired junior students like Shizuka Tsuruki to attempt similar espionage. During matches, Yukari collaborates with Erwin on field reconnaissance, earning the nickname "Heinz Wilhelm Guderian" for her tactical knowledge. Her insights frequently contributed to Ooarai’s victories in the 63rd National Tournament, where the team consistently overcame numerical disadvantages by isolating enemy flag tanks.

Post-tournament, she advanced to Student Council vice-president. Her personal interests include collecting tank models, military relics like shell casings and tracks, and hosting an educational segment titled "The Humble Yukari Akiyama’s Tank Corner." The dandelion is her preferred flower, and the Polish 7TP light tank remains her favorite armored vehicle. Her June 6 birthday coincides with the D-Day landings of 1944.
