Description
Marina Tsukishima is a staff member at the live house CiRCLE. In her youth, she played guitar in a five-member band that aspired to turn professional. However, the band failed to attract scouts or reach their desired skill level, gradually losing their audience and passion. They disbanded when playing music ceased being enjoyable. During their breakup, they created a song titled "HOPE," recording it on a CD they distributed to friends and fans. Marina retains fond memories of creating this song, sometimes humming it while working, as it represented one of the few times the band experienced genuine enjoyment near the end. She stores her old guitar backstage at CiRCLE and occasionally plays it, with skilled musicians noting her considerable technical ability.

At CiRCLE, her primary responsibility involves recruiting bands for multi-band live events, particularly the "Girls Band Party" event. She collaborates with the player character to scout and gather participating bands, including Poppin'Party, whom she encountered during her search. She successfully brought together five main bands for the initial event and supports their activities within the venue. Motivated by her own past struggles, she aims to help dedicated young musicians achieve recognition and succeed where her band did not, balancing her administrative duties with this supportive role.

Marina possesses a friendly, hardworking, and down-to-earth personality. She enjoys reading manga and dislikes horror or scary things. Physically, she has black hair styled in a bob cut reaching her shoulders, with her fringe parted to the right, fair skin, and eyes described as somewhat pink-toned brown or pink-red. Her typical outfit consists of low-cut jeans, a horizontally striped white-and-blue shirt, and a black cardigan. Her height is 157 cm.

Within the franchise, her narrative presence varies. In the main game story, she is prominent in the initial chapters but appears infrequently in later band stories, event stories, and secondary band narratives. She gains more screen time in the comedic spin-off "BanG Dream! Girls Band Party!☆PICO," where she introduces the bands dramatically in the first episode but often becomes the victim of comedic mishaps and injuries due to the characters' antics. In the anime's second season, her appearance is brief due to the primary setting shifting away from CiRCLE. However, in season three, she participates as a member of the event committee for the "BanG Dream! Girls Band Challenge!" tournament, working to ensure its success. She also interacts professionally with other venue managers, maintaining a long-standing acquaintance with Mikiko, the manager of the live house "Galaxy."
