Aya Suzaki is a Japanese voice actress and narrator affiliated with the agency I'm Enterprise. She was born on December 25, 1986, in Ishikawa Prefecture.
Suzaki's path to becoming a voice actor was a considered one. After being inspired to pursue the career by her admiration for voice actress Megumi Hayashibara, she took the advice to first obtain a university degree. She graduated from Tokyo Gakugei University, where she also trained at the Japan Narration Acting Institute. Following her education, she worked as an office lady (OL) at a general company before fully committing to her voice acting career, making her debut in 2010 with a small role in the anime Bakuman..
Her first leading role came in 2013 when she was cast as the cheerful Tamako Kitashirakawa in the Kyoto Animation series Tamako Market. For this role, she also performed the anime's opening and ending theme songs under her character's name. That same year, she gained significant attention for her energetic performance as Mako Mankanshoku in the popular action series Kill la Kill. These breakthrough performances helped establish her as a rising talent in the industry.
Throughout her career, Suzaki has demonstrated considerable versatility, taking on a wide array of roles across different genres. She has voiced characters in major franchise adaptations, such as the four Akatsuki-class destroyers—Akatsuki, Hibiki, Ikazuchi, and Inazuma—in Kantai Collection: KanColle, as well as the characters Mogami, Hōshō, and Aoba.
