Description
Reona Nyubara, performing as PAREO, attends Kamogawa Chuuou Middle School as a third-year student and class president. Her family owns a dry goods business. She plays keyboards in the band RAISE A SUILEN.

Growing up under intense parental pressure, Reona excelled academically and in sports like basketball and volleyball. She hid her true passions for cute aesthetics and idol dreams, projecting a perfect honor student image that masked profound loneliness and depression. A transformative moment came watching Pastel*Palettes on television, compelling her to anonymously upload keyboard covers of their songs online. These videos gained little notice until CHU² discovered them and summoned her to an audition. There, CHU² confronted Reona's perfectionist facade, pushing her to embrace her authentic self and join RAISE A SUILEN as PAREO.

Standing 162 cm tall with light red eyes and naturally black hair, Reona typically sports waist-length hair streaked pink and light blue. She alters her hair color before and after live performances, with lore inconsistencies on whether this involves dye or wigs from CHU². At school, she wears glasses and maintains a reserved, serious demeanor, speaking formally using "watashi". As PAREO during band activities, she transforms: her hair styles into long pigtails with beads, and she dons a purple "Fortissimo" T-shirt, white cardigan, pink chiffon skirt with blue frills, light blue space-themed thigh-high stockings, and purple platform shoes adding 6 cm to her height, accessorized with a winged circular charm necklace and beaded bracelets. Her personality shifts to energetic and expressive; she adores cute things openly, speaks in third person with polite suffixes ("-masu," "-desu"), and passionately loves Pastel*Palettes, crediting them with bringing color to her life. Initially nervous around them, she later facilitates interactions like Maya and Masuki's meeting. Core traits include diligence, an aversion to lies and insults, and a nurturing attitude.

Her relationship with CHU² defines her arc. Reona expresses deep gratitude, often calling CHU² "CHU²-sama" or "Goshujinsama" (Master/Mistress), crediting her rescue from emotional darkness. She supports CHU² unconditionally, preparing jerky and acting as a physical shield in crowds—a devotion that sometimes embarrasses CHU², though mutual respect anchors their dynamic. A significant conflict erupts when CHU²'s harsh criticism during a band crisis causes Reona to temporarily reject the PAREO identity, declaring "PAREO no longer exists." They reconcile when CHU² apologizes and reaffirms their bond, solidifying Reona's commitment.

Reona commutes three hours daily between Kamogawa and Tokyo for band activities. Her personal space brims with Pastel*Palettes merchandise, and she runs a popular fan account under the handle REOREO. She dislikes coriander and raw onions but enjoys cabbage. Her development focuses on balancing dual identities while growing comfortable expressing her true self across media. Trivia notes include sharing a birthday with RAS's first live date and lore acknowledgement of her hair color inconsistencies.
