Description
Gemini Saga embodies a dual nature, split between a benevolent personality loyal to Athena and a malevolent one driven by ambition. This division stemmed from an evil spirit's influence during infancy, which merged with him and eventually manifested as a separate identity.

Rejected as Pope Shion's successor due to his inner darkness, the malevolent persona fully surfaced, compelling Saga to murder Shion and usurp the Papacy. He then attempted to assassinate the infant Athena using a golden dagger from the Titan Cronus, an act thwarted by Sagittarius Aiolos.

As the false Pope, Saga dominated the Sanctuary for years, manipulating events and Saints. He mentally controlled Gold Saints like Leo Aiolia and Capricorn Shura, while allying with others such as Cancer Deathmask, who shared his conviction that power defines justice. He authorized lethal missions to eliminate threats, including orders to kill academy staff to prevent their transformation into minions of discord.

After his physical demise in the Sanctuary arc, Saga's spirit endured. His malevolent half resurfaced in "Saintia Sho," resurrected by or aligned with the war god Ares. This incarnation conspired with Eris, goddess of discord, and pursued the golden apple of discord to advance his goals. During this period, he manipulated events from afar, directing the Northern Crown Saintia Katya against Athena's followers until her eventual defection.

In a pivotal Sanctuary confrontation, his benevolent personality briefly regained control. He implored Athena to end his life to halt further destruction, though his evil persona shattered this moment. Olympian gods later sealed his spirit for his role in events precipitating Hades' downfall.

Throughout all appearances, Saga's character remains anchored in the internal clash between his inherent nobility and the corrupting force within him. His actions consistently mirror this duality, from Sanctuary betrayal to flashes of redemption and self-sacrifice.
