Habolg, known earlier as Hablog and affectionately called "Uncle Habo" or "Habo-san" by Riko and other Belchero Orphanage children, is a prominent Black Whistle delver in Orth. He is married to Laffi, who operates a shop. He acts as a mentor to the orphans.
Tall, bulky, and rough in appearance with dark gray eyes and a full beard, Habolg wears a distinctive wide-brim hat fitted with a lamp, a brown coat, darker brown shirt, and gloves, differing from standard delver gear. His large build contrasts with his exceptional agility.
He possesses a bright, kind, curious, and openly friendly personality, earning respect within Orth. He readily shares Abyss knowledge with the orphans while withholding state secrets about White Whistles. Habolg exhibits strong leadership, managing large expeditions like a joint delving project on the 2nd Layer where he served as General Leader. During this mission, he investigated a pentagonal hole filled with Second Grade Artifacts, speculating about its connection to the fairy tale "The Song of Hariyomari" and requesting Ozen's analysis.
