Hyoizaburou is Megumin's father and the patriarch of her family, married to Yuiyui. They have two daughters, Megumin and Komekko.

He resides in the Crimson Demon village and appears in the film *KONOSUBA - God's Blessing on This Wonderful World– Legend of Crimson*, listed among its cast during events in Megumin's homeland.

The spin-off prequel series *Konosuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World!*, depicting Megumin's life roughly one year before the main series, also features Hyoizaburou. His presence occurs within episodic storylines, including the first episode.
