Description
Shizuku possesses light blue hair and eyes, styled in twin tails with a rear ponytail and a pink accessory on her left bang. While maintaining a human form, she cannot conceal her newt tail, revealing her ongoing magical transformation practice. Her personality is predominantly cheerful, yet she displays intense jealousy when her superior, Kōra, shows interest in others, often asserting her own superiority. She becomes visibly elated receiving compliments from Kōra, reflecting her romantic feelings, explicitly identified as love by Haruitsuki Abeno. Shizuku is loyal and hardworking as an assistant at the Kiyakudo medicine shop in the Underworld.

She holds extensive knowledge of Underworld medicine due to her employment. Her abilities include partial transformation into human form, though her tail remains unconcealed. A significant incident involves her accidentally killing a butterfly from the Jukai forest surrounding the Underworld. This breaches the protective barrier maintained by the Underworld princess, Himezami, triggering an investigation into the barrier's weakening and leading to a mission for the Mononokean's master.

Her relationships are central. She is the younger sister of Rippō, the Legislator and one of the Underworld's three rulers. Rippō dotes on her excessively, occasionally abusing his authority for her benefit, though Shizuku scolds him for negligence. Haruitsuki notes Rippō harbors romantic feelings for her. At Kiyakudo, she works closely with Kōra, whose attention she actively seeks, and is on amicable terms with Haruitsuki Abeno, whom she nicknames "Itsuki".

Her name, written シズク, carries potential kanji meanings like "droplet" (雫, 滴), "quiet crimson" (静紅), "quiet black jewel" (静玖), and "quiet sky" (静空), highlighting themes of tranquility or natural phenomena. As a resident of the Underworld, she serves directly under Kōra while navigating familial ties to its ruling structure. Her actions, particularly the accidental butterfly killing, contribute to events affecting the Underworld's stability.
