Dekopompo inherited the title of Pillar General of the Yamato Empire following his father Dikotoma's death. Unlike the widely celebrated Dikotoma, known for charisma and strength, Dekopompo possessed no combat or strategic abilities. He secured the position by persistently petitioning the Mikado to fill the vacancy. While Dikotoma claimed his son had a good eye for business, Dekopompo's practices were notably shady and unethical. An obese man who surrounded himself with opulence and women, Dekopompo conducted himself with arrogance and poor taste. He harbored intense resentment toward Oshtor due to Oshtor's rising popularity and achievements despite lower birth status. Dekopompo operated an illegal gamble ship hosting forbidden bug-fighting gambling rings. This venture ended disastrously when the bugs went wild, sinking the ship. Ukon and Haku infiltrated the vessel, gathering evidence that exposed Dekopompo's crimes and led to his imprisonment. He escaped incarceration with help from his right-hand man Bokoinante, destroying all evidence. In military engagements, Dekopompo displayed extreme recklessness, ignoring tacticians' strategies and making catastrophic decisions that endangered allies. Determined to crush Oshtor, he launched an unprovoked attack on Ennakamuy, initiating a full-scale siege with numerical superiority. This assault failed catastrophically when Oshtor collapsed tunnel defenses and destroyed siege towers using oil and fire. Following his demoralized forces' retreat, Dekopompo attempted to flee but was cornered by Oshtor. As a last resort, he released a captured Gaunji—a massive carnivorous insect—intending to attack Oshtor. The creature immediately turned on Dekopompo, devouring him and Bokoinante. Many considered this a fitting end for someone of his reputation. In the spin-off game *Dokapon UP! Mugen no Roulette*, Dekopompo appears as a playable character with abilities centered on wealth accumulation. His battle skill "Get Rich Quick!" earns currency based on damage dealt (capped at 50k sen). His field skill "I'll Take Some!" has a 50% chance to claim half an enemy's money upon achieving a magic kill. Passive skills enhance his attack power, increase item drop rates, boost money acquisition from monsters, and expand item storage capacity.
