James Belcher is an American actor and voice actor known for his extensive work in English dubs of anime series and films. Born on April 24, 1954, he is a native of New Castle, Delaware, and was raised in San Antonio, Texas. In addition to his voice acting career, Belcher is a stage actor based in Houston, Texas. Since the mid-2010s, he has been a prolific presence in English-language anime productions, lending his voice to a wide array of characters.

Belcher's voice work encompasses a diverse range of roles, from wise mentors and authority figures to eccentric characters and villains. He is frequently cast in productions dubbed by studios associated with the Texas-based voice acting community. His filmography includes the role of Biwamaru, a blind biwa-playing monk, in the 2019 series Dororo. He voiced the narrator in multiple installments of the popular culinary anime Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma, including The Fourth Plate, a role that required a commanding and energetic presence.
