TV-Series
Description
Dr. Bariki Kudō serves as an engineer for Earth Granner, the planetary defense force. He engineered the Granner machines despite lacking full comprehension of their mechanics, earning widespread recognition as a genius. This reputation coexists with profound absentmindedness; he immerses himself so deeply in immediate tasks that he neglects other concerns. Yet he honors promises unwaveringly, commanding respect from colleagues aware of this trait.
His family comprises his wife Madoka Kudō, known since their adolescence, and twin sons Raiga and Kuga Kudō, whom he treasures. Tensions define his relationship with his father, Manriki Kudō, who opposed Bariki’s Gao Granner developments and departed Earth. Bariki resents this abandonment.
Exhibiting prodigious talent early, Bariki bypassed high school for university. There, he formed a pivotal friendship with Ikuzou Kumaneko, collaborating on altruistic projects and pledging support for Ikuzou’s large-scale humanitarian goals. Bariki had no involvement in the Granner project’s inception and did not develop Gao Granner Saber.
During the Dark Spinner alien invasion, Bariki deployed to Earth Granner’s Australia branch after finalizing Gao Granner Shark. He subsequently spearheaded the Space Custom Project, retrofitting Granners for space warfare to counter the alien Mother Ship "Ō" during its second assault. He then journeyed into space alongside his sons, Gyron, Gao Granner Leo, and Gao Granner Eagle.
Bariki’s name reflects engineering themes: "Bariki" evokes horsepower, while "Kudō" signifies driving force. His renown spans globally, noted by Earth Granner Australia’s chief engineer Dr. Jennifer, who admires him fervently. He also appeared in a crossover where Gao Granner R and Gao Granner K made cameo appearances.
