Description
Joe Pachero, an American member of Earth Granner, grew up on a ranch, developing cowboy skills and a deep connection with farm animals. Training rigorously out of admiration for the organization, he joined seeking its family-like bonds. He pilots the Core Granner Buffalo, a green buffalo-featured vehicle activated by a Core Granner Tomica and steered with an Earth Handle. This machine forms the cockpit for his close partner, Gao Granner Buffalo, sharing mutual trust and loyalty akin to family.
Personally caring and affectionate, Joe sometimes displays over-enthusiasm through physically demonstrative gestures like tight hugs or using his lasso to prevent teammates from escaping interactions. Generally laid-back and well-meaning, he can occasionally be insensitive. His determination to help others, especially civilians and allies, is constant.
Initially vowing to defeat Kakeru Kumaneko, Joe hesitated upon learning Kakeru was Rin Kumaneko's brother, viewing him as extended family. Rin's insistence on confronting Kakeru to protect Earth convinced Joe to commit to bringing him back through both battle and persuasion. In a key fight, Joe launched a surprise attack that damaged Gao Granner Saber and forced Kakeru to retreat, though Joe focused on minimizing harm rather than total victory.
Joe devised a Mystery Circle plan to lure Dark Spinner and find Kakeru. This backfired when a village mayor misinterpreted the circles as alien tourist traps, causing chaos. During the conflict, Joe captured Gao Granner Crow, but lost control when Crow escaped after being distracted by a shiny sticker, resulting in significant damage to Earth Granner's headquarters.
Sidelined temporarily after Gao Granner Buffalo suffered heavy damage fighting Kakeru, Joe resumed activities post-repairs. He later joined a mission to stop Saber's dark-energy rampage, refusing to use an emergency memory-erasure button due to parallels with his own bond with Buffalo.
Traveling to America for Gao Granner maintenance, Joe pursued leads on Kakeru. Learning of Kakeru and Saber's Ride On activity in Yosemite Forest, he intervened, rescuing them from a cliff with his lasso. He selflessly offered his and Buffalo's energy to replenish Saber, enabling them to defeat a Spinewger summoned by Clutch.
While Kakeru and Saber stayed at the American branch, Joe tried integrating them with base staff. Discovering Kakeru in a samurai costume sent by Rin, Joe shared the moment, leading to combined samurai-cowboy themed photos. In a later battle against a bull-like Spinewger, Joe and Buffalo were trapped due to Buffalo's reluctance to fight a bull-resembling creature, requiring rescue by Kakeru and Saber.
