Description
Buru Kuramochi, a bulldog reimagined as a human with animal features, belongs to the wealthy Kuramochi family newly arrived on Third Street. His appearance features long dark gray hair with a lighter gray fringe parted to the left, a squared chin, and a typical outfit of a gray collared jacket over a red undershirt.

He adopts the self-proclaimed title "The Solitary King of Destruction," aiming to command fear and respect through dramatic self-practiced poses and monologues. These efforts often confuse or amuse others rather than intimidate them. Despite aggressive posturing, he displays underlying kindness and vulnerability, particularly in social interactions. His owners' mother knits sweaters for him, which he finds embarrassingly unfashionable, adding to his self-consciousness.

His relationships evolve significantly. He develops immediate romantic interest in Momo Hanasaki after encountering her during an incident where she and another cat ate food from his dish without permission; her presence leaves him speechless and infatuated. This infatuation fuels initial mild dislike for Tama Okamoto, mistaken as a romantic rival due to Momo's affectionate references to "Tama"—later revealed to be her yarn ball, not the cat.

Buru also experiences unexpected romantic feelings for Kai, a cat performer at a local café. He attends multiple shows and gifts Kai a bone as a token of admiration. When Kai departs after being adopted, Buru openly expresses sadness and well-wishes, highlighting his capacity for earnest emotional attachment.

His interactions reveal further layers: he finds Beh Kawahara frustrating due to Beh's carefree, accident-prone nature, yet gradually forms a genuine, if reluctant, bond after shared experiences like an adventure triggered by Beh's lost bandage. Beginning as an outsider projecting toughness, his arc shifts toward seeking camaraderie and acceptance within the community.
