Description
Kanzo "Hattori-kun" Hattori is an 11-year-old ninja from Iga Province undergoing training in Tokyo. He lives with the Mitsuba family and forms a close bond with their son Kenichi, assisting him with personal and academic problems while strictly adhering to ninja principles. His defining characteristics include exceptional ninjutsu skills, a strong moral code, leadership as Shinzo's older brother, and a debilitating fear of frogs.

He maintains a fierce rivalry with Kemumaki, a Koga ninja, leading to frequent clashes rooted in their opposing clan heritage. Despite this enmity, he respects rules prohibiting the use of ninjutsu for crime. His adaptability is demonstrated when he collaborates with the Perman characters in the crossover film "Ninja Hattori-kun + Perman Ninja Kaijū Jippō VS Miracle Tamago" to confront an extraterrestrial threat from a destructive monster egg.

His immediate family consists of his father, Jinchuu Hattori, and his 5-year-old apprentice ninja brother Shinzo, who accompanies him to Tokyo. Shinzo idolizes Hattori-kun but struggles with basic ninja techniques, often resorting to loud crying as an inadvertent defensive measure. Their ninja dog, Shishimaru, completes the group, though he is lazy and highly food-motivated.

Across all portrayals, Hattori-kun remains disciplined yet compassionate, consistently balancing modern Tokyo life with traditional ninja duties. Physically, he stands 140 cm tall, weighs 40 kg, and wears a distinctive blue ninja outfit featuring yellow sleeves and a cape, always carrying a katana.
