TV-Series
Description
Kokoro Yotsuba is an eleven-year-old fifth-grade student living in the seaside town of Aozora. She has dark brown hair styled in pigtails held by pink ribbons, featuring bangs on the right side, and brown eyes. Her usual outfit consists of a long-sleeved yellow shirt with pink trim, buttons, white lace around the collar, and a green four-leaf clover emblem, paired with a light blue frilly skirt, white socks, and yellow shoes; some regional adaptations, like the Arabic dub, depict her wearing magenta leggings.

Kokoro is kind-hearted and caring, but also notably clumsy. Her grandmother, Haruko Yachigusa, taught her that "everything has a soul," leading Kokoro to meticulously care for her belongings. One cherished item, a green pencil from her kindergarten years, spontaneously generates an egg that hatches into Luckytama, a Cocotama. Discovering Luckytama binds Kokoro to a "Secret Contract," obligating her to hide the existence of Cocotamas from others while providing them devoted care and affection. This contract drives her narrative, as she navigates daily challenges to maintain its secrecy despite frequent Cocotama-related mishaps.

She proactively builds friendships, notably with childhood friends Hina and Ayaka, and maintains a generally calm demeanor when facing Cocotama troubles. Her interests include drawing, a skill amplified by Luckytama’s presence. Throughout her experiences, Kokoro evolves from initial clumsiness toward greater responsibility and emotional resilience, particularly during critical events like the near-loss of the Cocotama Kanna, which deeply affected her and the other Cocotamas.

Her family includes her brother Makoto, parents Misato and Koichi, and grandparents Haruko and Akio. Her name "Kokoro" translates to "heart, mind, soul," reflecting her nature, while "Yotsuba" means "four-leaf clover," symbolizing her link to Luckytama’s emblem. Her birthday is September 9, 2006.

In expanded media, such as the 2017 film *Eiga Kamisama Minarai: Himitsu no Cocotama*, she participates in adventures centered on Cocotama-related miracles. The sequel series *Kira Kira Happy Hirake! Cocotama* shifts focus from her, featuring only brief cameos that acknowledge her role in concluding the original storyline. A final cameo in *Save Sakura Town, Open! The Door Of Happiness* symbolically marked the end of the Cocotama television series.
