Description
Lou, a criminal thug employed by Wald Richter in Stohess District, sports unkempt dark hair and a patchy goatee. His ill-fitting clothes contribute to a disheveled appearance. Aggressive, impulsive, and uncivil, he frequently disregards social norms. Lou is a heavy drinker, requiring Wald’s reminders to avoid alcohol during work.
Days before the Survey Corps’ 57th expedition, Lou and Wald accept a job from Elliot Stratmann to find his missing daughter, Carly. They encounter Carly’s lover, Wayne Eisner (alias Kemper Boltz), who exposes Carly’s involvement in coderoin trafficking. Wayne bribes them to blackmail Elliot, leading to Carly’s imprisonment at Wald’s Van Gelder Street office. When Military Police officer Annie Leonhart investigates Carly’s disappearance at Pit Lidors bar, Wald assigns Lou to stake out Wayne’s apartment. After discovering Wayne’s corpse, Lou alerts Wald, and they ambush Annie by bribing her carriage driver and hiding inside her carriage.
During the ambush, Lou drags Annie into the carriage and confiscates her ring while Wald holds her at knifepoint. Annie recognizes Lou from Pit Lidors, but he denies it. Enraged, Lou points a gun at her head, prompting Wald to scold his incivility. Ignoring Wald’s order to abstain from drinking, Lou refuses Annie’s request to return the ring. Wald retrieves the ring, discovers its hidden blade, and pricks Annie’s hand to test for poison—unintentionally triggering her Titan-transformation ability. The explosion destroys the carriage, injuring Wald and incapacitating Lou.
Regaining consciousness, Lou shoots Annie in the back and reclaims the ring. He dismisses Wald’s pleas for help with his injured legs, accusing him of being past his prime. When Wald questions if Lou killed Wayne, Lou neither confirms nor denies. He shoots Wald and the driver, leaving them to die. Lou returns to Wald’s office to celebrate his new leadership with fellow thugs. Annie later storms the office, defeats the thugs, and disarms Lou by shattering a bottle in his face. She overpowers him, shoves his gun into his mouth, and threatens silence about her involvement. Lou passes out from fear as Annie retrieves her ring.
