Kano acts as both attendant and bodyguard to Princess Teruhi within the Sō clan leadership on Tsushima Island, handling personal protection and intelligence gathering. She possesses black hair in a ponytail and blue eyes. Her duties involve active combat against Mongol invaders, including capturing a Mongol scout during an assault on the Sō clan compound. As Mongol forces overwhelm Tsushima, Kano joins Teruhi and survivors in the final retreat.

Facing inevitable defeat, Kano attempts to kill Teruhi by choking her unconscious to spare her from Mongol capture. She then hides the princess under foliage and confronts approaching Mongol soldiers alone. During this encounter, soldiers overpower and capture Kano; her torn clothing during the capture implies subsequent sexual assault. Her ultimate fate remains unknown after capture. Teruhi later awakens alone, finding herself hidden but discovering no trace of Kano’s survival or death.
