TV-Series
Description
Yukine Araki, once identified by her Hand Shaker codename Bind, served as a combatant within the Ziggurat—an alternate reality where warriors duel to secure divine wishes—alongside her husband and tactical partner, Reijiro Araki, under the team designation Chain. Their synchronized combat style, mirroring their team’s name, defined their role in these high-stakes clashes. After retiring from active duty, the couple adopted Yukiya Araki, a child conceived within the Ziggurat by his biological parents, Mayumi Akutagawa and Daichi Nagaoka, who sacrificed their wish to bring him into existence within that realm.

Yukine and Reijiro dedicated themselves to sheltering Yukiya from the challenges of his irregular Hand Shaker heritage, which permits him to forge partnerships indiscriminately through touch, defying conventional bonds. Despite their efforts to cultivate a mundane life, Yukiya’s intrinsic ties to the Ziggurat persistently disrupted their aspirations.

The series’ conclusion unveils Yukiya’s origins, resolving lingering enigmas while reinforcing Yukine’s steadfast maternal influence despite lacking biological ties. Her history as a strategist and warrior shaped her vigilant guardianship, balancing protective instincts with a commitment to familial stability. Yukine’s multicolored hair visually echoes her layered identity, while her arc intertwines themes of inherited legacies, the weight of divine bargains, and the complexities of parenthood. Throughout, her enduring partnership with Reijiro anchors their shared devotion to Yukiya’s future, bridging their past as fighters and present as guardians.
