TV-Series
Description
Kohei Imamura is an 18-year-old (manga) / 20-year-old (anime) male student studying Mechanical Engineering at Izu University. He possesses dark blond hair swept to the right, dark gold eyes, and a lean, muscular build, often noted as highly attractive though his eccentric personality deters admirers. His attire frequently features anime character shirts, especially showcasing his favorite magical girl, Rarako; he is also commonly seen nude or in his boxers during the diving club's drinking sessions.

He is a diehard otaku, obsessed with little sister character tropes, explaining his fixation on Shiori Kitahara. Kohei openly embraces his otaku lifestyle without concern for perception. Socially introverted, he struggles to communicate in casual or professional settings. He enrolled at university with the unrealistic goal of creating a harem of high school girls but was manipulated by Iori Kitahara into joining the Peek a Boo diving club. Kohei considers cooking vital for a desirable male and creates doujinshi, having drawn Magical Girl Rarako content in high school. He demonstrates video production skills through his virtual idol persona, Sakuya, using a mixed voice technique. He is easily manipulated when offered opportunities related to voice actors, particularly his favorite seiyuu, Kaya Mizuki.

Kohei's friendship with Iori Kitahara begins contentiously after Iori tricks him into joining the club, yet they develop a strong bond despite frequent clashes over eccentric antics; Iori respects Kohei's passion while finding it unsettling. He maintains a reserved but amicable relationship with Chisa Kotegawa, typically addressing each other formally. Kohei respects Azusa Hamaoka deeply after she arranges a meeting with Kaya Mizuki. His most significant evolving relationship is with Aina Yoshiwara. Initially, Kohei helps Aina pursue Iori, and she comforts him after his idol announces her marriage. Under hypnosis, Kohei redirects his love for anime toward Aina, revealing underlying feelings. This culminates in Kohei asking Aina out, and she accepts, marking a shift.

Kohei shows character development across the series. His alcohol tolerance increases significantly due to frequent club drinking sessions, enabling him to consume high-proof spirits like Spirytus (96% ABV) with ease. His emotional growth is evident in his relationship with Aina, moving from obsession with 2D characters to a genuine romantic connection. He also demonstrates unexpected resolve when core interests are threatened, such as confronting Sakurako after she steals a ticket to his favorite voice actor's event.
