Description
Keisuke Amano, an 11-year-old Springdale resident, sports brown eyes and brown hair. His wardrobe features a blue short-sleeved sweater adorned with a yellow star on the upper left, white pants, and dark blue loafers dotted with orange stars. In warm weather, he swaps this for a collarless light-blue polo shirt with white trim, left casually unbuttoned, paired with orange pants and his signature star-detailed loafers. Winter sees him in a navy blue sweater with white trim and arm stripes, a prominent white "K" on the chest, green cargo pants, black socks, and white loafers. Alternatively, he dons a lighter blue sweater striped in white and yellow across the chest, matched with green cargo pants, orange socks, and the same loafers. A dark blue hoodie layered over a red shirt, brown pants, and his ever-present loafers completes his cold-weather rotation.

The younger brother of Natsume Amano and son of Nathan Adams and Katie Forester, Keisuke navigates life with friends Kouji and Tank. Initially skeptical of the supernatural, he dismisses his sister’s dealings with Touma Tsukinami and Akinori Arihoshi as cultish antics—until uncovering her role in exorcising malicious Yo-kai and running a Yo-kai detective agency. Though reluctant, he gradually accepts their existence, stepping into investigations to protect Springdale’s peace, his stubbornness and childlike demeanor echoing his father’s traits.

A 2017 film sees Keisuke and his mother transformed into Kaodeka Oni by the Onimaro, spurring Natsume to combat the invasion. By 2018’s anime series, he’s a doubting fifth-grader who trails his sister’s late-night escapades, stumbling into her Yo-kai Detective world and its ensuing chaos. The 2019 video game casts him as a playable character, cementing his place in supernatural adventures.
