Description
Azuma Tachibana works for Tomari Transport and plays badminton on their corporate team. He has brown hair, blue eyes, wears glasses, and has blood type B. His given name combines "catalpa" (梓) and "horse" (馬), while his surname Tachibana means "standing" (立) and "flower" (花).

In junior high and high school, Azuma formed the "Golden Pair" doubles partnership with Mikoto Shiratori at Tobu High School, achieving an unbeatable reputation. During this time, he experienced feelings of inferiority due to Mikoto's status as a prodigy. A pivotal match against Hoyoku High's Kawakami and Kirishima ended when Azuma collided with Mikoto on court, sustaining a severe knee injury that permanently ended his competitive badminton career. The physical trauma was compounded by emotional distress as Mikoto never visited him during hospitalization.

After recovering, Azuma joined Tomari Transport. He continues to play badminton professionally for the company, now partnered with the blunt Shiryu Tonozaki. Azuma draws motivation from his experiences, including the injury and rehabilitation, stating that encouragement from others pushed him to persevere. He maintains a connection to his past while striving for his best in his current role.
