Description
Nanami Nanase, frequently using the avatar name "Nami" in Gunpla Battle Nexus Online (GBN), works at The Gundam Base Tokyo, a store popular with Riku Mikami and Yukio Hidaka. She personally introduced them to GBN and facilitated their first dive into the virtual world. Despite her job involving Gunpla, Nanami possesses limited technical knowledge about mobile suits and often confuses their names, such as mistakenly calling the GN-0000 00 Gundam the "Gundam O2".
She actively participates in GBN alongside friends, joining events like the Nadeshiko-athlon. During this event, Nanami and Sarah discovered hidden elements within the course, leading them to free a Non-Player Diver and obtain rare items: a P-Spray Gun, U-Nipper Javelin, D-Separator Shield, and G-Marker Saber L-Compressor Backpack. Following the resolution of the EL-Diver incident involving Sarah, she witnessed her brother Koichi and Tsukasa provide the EL-Diver May with a physical mobile doll body. Nanami subsequently took on a protective role for May during offline gatherings of the BUILD DiVERS force, acting as her bodyguard.
Her relationships include being the younger sister of Koichi Nanase, a former championship-level Gunpla builder, and sharing a long-standing, caring relationship with Riku Mikami, acting as an elder sister figure to him. Her avatar features a distinctive red chest pattern resembling Bandai's historical "stick figure" logo. Two years later, in the sequel series *Gundam Build Divers Re:RISE*, she maintains her association with the original Build Divers group and continues her protective role towards May during real-world interactions, though her involvement in the primary narrative of *Re:RISE* remains minimal.
