Description
Hatsume Aoba, operating under the codename Tsubone, is a 17-year-old third-year student at Sorasaki High School and a vital operative within the intelligence agency Tsukikage. Born on April 2nd and standing 165 cm tall, she possesses distinctive blonde hair reaching her waist and striking orange eyes.

Her past is marked by a traumatic childhood incident: during an overseas trip, she and her friend Theresia Ray were kidnapped by traffickers. While Hatsume's family secured her ransom and release, Theresia was not rescued and was sold to the criminal organization Moryo. This event fostered lasting resentment from Theresia when they later reunited, though Hatsume remains steadfast in her commitment to reconcile and restore their friendship.

Hatsume radiates exceptional friendliness, enthusiasm, and confidence, actively striving to befriend everyone she encounters, even adversaries. She extends kindness during conflict, driven by a goal to forge bonds as strong as family. Despite this warmth, she exhibits pragmatism in espionage, demonstrated by tactics like using a neurotoxin-laced needle against Theresia and leveraging the antidote for negotiation. She displays maternal care towards teammates, particularly her Tsukikage disciple, Goe Ishikawa, whom she considers irreplaceable and more precious than anyone else. She openly admires Goe's strength, kindness, and cuteness, frequently comforting her with physical affection like head caresses. Their interactions include forming heart signs with joined hands and cherishing face-to-face meals.

Serving as Tsukikage's primary inventor, Hatsume develops most of the agency's gadgets, showcasing significant engineering and scientific aptitude. She can swiftly identify poisons, perform surgeries to remove toxins, and synthesize antidotes. Her inventions often prove adaptable beyond their original design. In combat, she wields a specialized polearm resembling a cross between a spear and war hammer. Like all Tsukikage operatives, she consumes the enhancer "Spyce" to gain superhuman physical capabilities during missions. Her combat proficiency is evidenced by twice defeating Theresia in direct confrontations.

Hatsume persistently seeks to redeem Theresia from Moryo's influence, believing Theresia's past resilience shaped her own values. When Theresia is framed as a traitor within Tsukikage, Hatsume defends her innocence and vows to guide her back to "the right path," persuading skeptical allies like Yuki to trust her approach. Her heartfelt reconciliation attempts include inviting Theresia to her condo for private talks and clinging to her during outings, reflecting her conviction that understanding and compassion can overcome enmity, despite Theresia's initial internal conflicts.

She is childhood friends with Yuki Hanzōmon and mentors Goe Ishikawa within Tsukikage's apprenticeship system. Her hobby is inventing. The etymology of her name, "first bud" or "first sprout," symbolizes her role as an initiator of connections. Hatsume maintains a hopeful outlook, aspiring to transform adversarial relationships into genuine friendships through unwavering empathy.
