Description
Ouma Tokita, also called Ohma Tokita, emerged from the brutal realm known as "The Inside," surviving nameless for twelve years until martial arts master Tokita Niko intervened, saving him from yakuza enforcers. Niko adopted him, naming him by merging "Tokita" with "Shichiohba" wards, and rigorously trained him in the versatile Niko Style. This combat system blends multiple disciplines, emphasizing adaptability through specialized Katas: Flame Kata for speed, Redirection Kata for momentum control, Water Kata for fluidity, and Adamantine Kata for strength and durability. Ouma mastered the ultimate technique, "Demonsbane," during a ten-day trial in Gakigahara Forest, learning to counter attacks by precisely redirecting an opponent's force combined with his own.
Post-training, another man claiming to be Tokita Niko overpowered Ouma, implanting the "Possessing Spirit" technique ("Advance"), which drastically boosts physical capabilities by accelerating heart rate at the risk of severe bodily strain. This encounter caused memory loss and confusion, worsened when Setsuna Kiryu forcibly triggered the Advance, inducing a rampage halted only by Niko. Ouma later discovered Niko dying from wounds inflicted by Genzan Taira, with Kiryu present; Niko's final command to seek vengeance against Genzan became a core motivation.
Initially arrogant and obsessed with combat, Ouma displayed condescension and provocation towards opponents, relentlessly seeking strong challengers like Baki Hanma to test his strength. His volatile temper led to violent outbursts, such as assaulting an employer who denied him a fight. Relationships, particularly with manager Kazuo Yamashita during Kengan matches, fostered protective instincts and tempered his aggression. Regaining his memories made him more open and less dismissive, though he retained a distinct bond with Kazuo. He developed a wary tolerance for Karla's persistent romantic pursuit. His mentorship of Narushima Koga evolved from hostility to mutual respect, offering combat guidance.
Physically, Ouma stands approximately 182 cm tall with a tan complexion, an athletic build, and messy dark hair. He typically wears casual attire like t-shirts and jeans, switching to specialized gear like boxing shorts with spats for fights. Key abilities include instinctive reaction from mental conditioning, extrasensory perception honed in The Inside, and chi blockage for paralysis or neurological disruption. His physical prowess enables strikes that stun opponents like Pickle and lifting feats matching elite fighters.
Ouma competed in multiple Kengan Association tournaments. He initially represented the Nogi Group before fighting for Yamashita Trading Co. in the Kengan Annihilation Tournament, defeating opponents including Lihito, Inaba Ryo, Kure Raian, and Wakatsuki Takeshi. Years later, he represented the Association in the Kengan VS Purgatory Tournament, defeating Rolón Donaire. His role as a "Tiger's Vessel" stems from his origin as a clone of Shen Wulong. His combat skills evolved throughout these events, incorporating techniques like the Kure Clan's "Copy" ability while refining his mastery of the Advance and Demonsbane.
