Her middle school isolation stemmed from classmates misinterpreting her intense curiosity about Quirks as condescension, causing emotional distance until Tamaki Amajiki approached her at U.A. Befriending him and Mirio restored her confidence and natural cheerfulness. She has a fair complexion, light royal blue eyes, and originally knee-length periwinkle hair with spiraled waist sections. Post-burns from Dabi in the Paranormal Liberation War shortened it to shoulder length, later styled chin-length. Standing 164 cm (5'4½") with a feminine build often deemed "cute" by peers, she wears a U.A. uniform waistcoat instead of a blazer. Her initial hero costume was a dark royal blue bodysuit with mint green/turquoise accents, yellow gauntlets, spiral-patterned boots, thigh satchels, and spiral hair protrusions. She won U.A.'s beauty pageant by using flight and energy sculpting to defeat Bibimi Kenranzaki. In the Paranormal Liberation War, she aided Shoto Todoroki against Tomura Shigaraki and endured Dabi's flames to combat Near High-Ends. She later joined the Final War assault on Shigaraki and graduated as the No. 7 Pro Hero.
