This culminates in his defection to Wataru's side during the final battle against Doakudar and the Dark Dragon. Sacrificing himself, he creates an opening for Wataru to strike the dragon's weak point, suffering fatal wounds. The queen of Mt. Soukai later resurrects him, unveiling his true identity as her son, Shoryushi. Toraō's spirit coexists within Shoryushi, embodying their merged existence and enduring bond with Wataru.

In *Super Mashin Hero Wataru*, Toraō reunites with Wataru in Mt. Soukai's 4th Realm but exhibits amnesia regarding their past. Blizzarbeth, the realm's boss, brainwashes him into believing he is her son. After Wataru defeats Blizzarbeth, Toraō regains his memories, only to be kidnapped by Dohdo. King Donarukami forcibly re-brainwashes him, manipulating him into viewing Wataru as Blizzarbeth's murderer. This conflict persists until the climax of the 6th Realm, where Seijyu sacrifices himself to return Toraō's conscience. Doruku then opens Toraō's "closed heart," ensuring his permanent recovery.

In later media like the OVA *Wataru: The Neverending Story*, Toraō actively aids Wataru against new threats, traveling alongside him on quests such as retrieving the Fist Dragon Magatama.
