Pan Guanglin leads Shanghai's Qing Bang triad under the moniker "Tiger of Shanghai." He is Pan Yuling's brother and shares a close bond with Kenshiro Kasumi, heir to Hokuto Shinken. When Kenshiro left Shanghai, rivals systematically slaughtered Qing Bang members. Captured by Wu Donglai—who coveted Guanglin's lover Yang Meiyu—Guanglin endured torture via flesh-eating rats. This inflicted fatal poisoning and necrosis on his feet, requiring amputation. Kenshiro saved him by severing the limbs. Guanglin then walked on iron prosthetics until an assassination attempt crippled him permanently, forcing him into a wheelchair. Qing Bang leadership consequently transferred to Pan Yuling. In *Souten no Ken Re:Genesis*, Guanglin perishes during this attack.
