Vice Admiral Paetta of the Free Planets Alliance commanded the 2nd Fleet during the Battle of Astarte, where severe injuries forced him to relinquish command to Commodore Yang Wen-li. Though his associate Vice Admiral Pastolle fell in the conflict, Paetta survived and resumed service. Following Ragnarök, Paetta’s activities faded from record until March 801 UC, when he was arrested in Paul von Oberstein’s "Grass-mowing Operation," a sweep targeting ex-Alliance officials for political leverage. Imprisoned at Rugpool alongside thousands, he perished during a riot.
