Description
Ricardo Fellini, nicknamed "The Italian Dandy," reigns as the Italian champion in the Gunpla Battle Championship World Tournament. He travels internationally, visiting Japan and engaging in extensive training sessions with Reiji. His lifelong Gunpla passion began in childhood with a custom green-painted Wing Gundam. As an early teenage user of the Gunpla Battle System, he felt profound joy seeing this childhood model animate for the first time. Through repeated modifications fueled by victories and defeats, this Wing Gundam evolved into his signature asymmetrical mobile suit, the Wing Gundam Fenice—named "phoenix" for its continual rebirth through upgrades. He calls this Gunpla his "partner," reflecting their deep bond.

He cultivates a "cool" persona to attract women, frequently employing Gunpla as a flirtation tactic with an 80% success rate, though this approach sometimes backfires, like when a woman rejected a Victory Gundam he built specifically to "rope-in females." As a fighter, intense pride defines him; he refuses concessionary victories. He rejected Kirara’s suggestion to intentionally lose to Sei and Reiji to preserve his Fenice for later tournament stages, insisting on a full-strength battle that ended in mutual destruction. His pride also means preferring honorable defeat over underhanded tactics, leading him to deactivate his Fenice’s self-destruct system against Aila Jyrkiäinen after Kirara condemned the act as cowardly.

In combat, he masters both ranged and melee techniques, favoring shooting duels. His piloting skill compensates for the Fenice’s deliberate asymmetry, featuring heterochromatic eye cameras (red and green). Its armaments include a split-capable Buster Rifle Custom, a Beam Rapier doubling as a forearm-mounted beam gun, a defensive Beam Mantle, the Meteor Hopper support craft for ground mobility, and the original Wing Gundam’s self-destruct capability.

His tournament journey included excelling in a large-scale Battle Royale until ambushed by Rainer Cziommer and fighters seeking revenge for his romantic entanglements; allies helped him survive. He advanced through preliminary rounds. His match against Sei and Reiji resulted in mutual Gunpla destruction, with shared repair work reinforcing their friendship. Against Aila, he initially dominated, destroying her Qubeley’s Clear Funnels and severing a binder, but her escalated Embody System use overwhelmed him. After aborting the self-destruct, he watched helplessly as Aila destroyed the Fenice post-match. This loss spurred the creation of its successor, the Wing Gundam Fenice Rinascita. During a festival match battling Kirara’s Gerbera Tetra, a scene unfolded where the Rinascita was hugged by her unit, causing him to blush. He later lost this match and attended her concert.

In broader conflicts, he joined the assault on the space fortress A Baoa Qu, defending the entrance alongside Nils Nielsen, Mao Yasaka, Kirara, and Caroline Yajima while others targeted the Arista crystal. Later, during the Gunpla Mafia takeover of Yajima Stadium, he piloted the Gundam Fenice Liberta against mafia member Gawain Oakley’s diamond-coated NRX-055 Baund Doc. Recognizing Gawain as a former Team Nemesis member, he exposed the Baund Doc’s underbelly vulnerability in mobile armor mode and severed its head in mobile suit mode using the Liberta’s beam tire weapon, securing victory.

His relationship with Kirara evolved from initial charm attempts—resulting in drunken embarrassment at a tournament reception—to mutual concern. She visibly worried during his battles, angrily defended him against detractors like Rainer, and intervened to prevent the Fenice’s sacrifice. He displayed protectiveness toward her and blushed during their in-battle encounter with the Rinascita and Gerbera Tetra.
